There are three Nombre de Dios National Park Trails. One of them is at the Cangrejal River Valley; the other is on the mountains directly behind Sambo Creek. Both are different from each other, and offer a completely different view of the park. A third trail is within the Cacao Lagoon.

Every town has its history, and they should try to preserve it as an important part of their heritage. The north coast of Honduras is quite young, and its history is somewhat short, compared to other areas in Central America. The new museum in Tela seeks to tell the story of Tela as a mayor railroad hub in Honduras.
You will have no trouble finding ATM machines in Tela. There are quite a few different banks in Tela, and most of them have their own ATM machines. Most of the banks in Tela are on the “Calle del Comercio”. This street is on the south side (opposite to the beach) of Central Park.

Many travelers that are exploring Central America are set on not visiting Honduras. The main reason is that they have read that Honduras is not safe. The truth, is that there are many safe destinations in Honduras that you can visit without a problem or putting yourself at risk.
